HOW TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT
EQUIPMENTS
There are several equipments you will need to have in order to practice kendo/kumdo properly.
The basic equipments for beginners are:
- Uniform (Keikogi and Hakama)
- Shinai (bamboo sword)
You can bring and/or buy your equipment by yourself. But, it is recommended to let us order your equipment because you can take an advantage of getting a discount on your purchase.
FIRST, VISIT “www.e-mudo.com”
The e-mudo.com is an on-line shopping mall with which our club has a contract for special prices. Choose what you want to purchase looking around the website. Add your choice(s) to the “shopping cart”, but don’t check out (I mean, don’t pay through the website).
Newcomers may prefer a uniform set. When you click any uniform set displayed in the webpage, it asks your size (i.e., height; refer to the “sizing info”) for each part of the uniform;
- Keikogi = shirt
- Hakama = pants
You can add embroidery for free. If you want, choose “Yes, I want embroidery” and then select the color of thread. Otherwise, choose “No, I don’t want embroidery” and then select “No service” for the color of thread.
For shinai, newcomers are recommended to purchase a practice shinai. You may upgrade your shinai after first three to six months of practice. The “ws39” is for male adults and “ws38” is for female adults.
SECOND, PAY OUR TREASURER
Check the amount of “sub total” in the “shopping cart” webpage and then pay the same amount of money (personal check or cash) to our treasurer (Minhyuk Shin: [email protected]). You also turn in the list of your item code(s) to our treasurer via email or in person.
THIRD, PICK UP YOUR ORDER & ADJUST OVERPAYMENT OR UNDERPAYMENT
The discount you may receive and the shipping cost you should pay are not reflected in the “sub total”. Thus, you may be overpaying or underpaying. You should pay the balance or be reimbursed when you pick up your order.
IMPORTANT NOTES
We don’t put your order until we receive your payment. If you want to have yours as soon as possible, make your payment as soon as possible.
We don’t take any advantage of hooking you up with the e-mudo.com.
The process of separating the total shipping cost, in case of multiple orders, would be very evenhanded.
